More 15mm Cold War
Just a quick post today showing off some of the 15mm Cold War models I have recently finished. I’m really enjoying this period and plan to grab some Soviets when Battlefront starts their Black Friday sale next week (T62s and BTR50s I think).

“Dont talk to me or my little brother again!” - the M60 will be fun to use with my M48s.

This is my favorite variant though. Such a cool (expensive) idea to make a space age (expensive) tank. Detecting a theme yet? There was also the small problem of the ammunition being volatile and dangerous if dropped…
Still though, I have a personal attachment to this vehicle, I actually got to go in one! You feel like an absolute titan from that commanders cupola. I was so excited to do them in 15mm. The interior is crammed with electronics which must have seemed so sci-fi in the era it was introduced (hence the “starship” nickname) I will definitely be getting more at some point.

Thats about as cool as I’ve ever felt.

Next up a mech platoon. These are classic metal models and while I know some folks dislike that I like the retro feel of old pewter figures. They painted up nicely as well. I left out camo to differentiate these guys more as “ETO garrison troops” rather than ‘Nam and to cover an earlier period.

Lastly some AH1s - these were the first helicopter kits I’ve done and I’m pretty happy with the results.
